A Safe, Nurturing Place for Children Without a School Place

Ellie’s Alternative Provision offers personalised, trauma-informed support for disabled children who are currently out of school. We blend therapeutic input, life skills and learning in a calm, home-from-home setting so each child can feel safe, rebuild confidence and move towards a positive next step.

Day-to-Day Activities & Support

Each child’s experience with us is carefully tailored to their individual needs. As a qualified social worker and safeguarding lead, we begin by meeting each child and developing a personalised plan based on their strengths, interests, and abilities.

Our Sessions

Our day-to-day sessions are play-based, hands-on, and flexible, designed to support both emotional wellbeing and engagement with learning.

What We Offer

Activities may include: • Sensory play and specialist equipment • Creative arts and making projects • Outdoor learning and planting • Music, singing, and movement • Functional play-based English and maths

Our Environment

We create a calm, supportive environment where children can explore, build confidence, and develop skills at their own pace, with a strong focus on emotional regulation and enjoyment of learning.

About Our Name

We chose to name our provision Ellie’s Provision in memory of our friend, Ellie Logue. Ellie lived with complex disabilities, but she approached life with remarkable positivity, resilience, and determination. She was incredibly bright and never allowed her challenges to define her. Instead, she faced each day with strength, courage, and a mindset that inspired everyone around her. Ellie continually pushed herself to achieve her best, regardless of the obstacles she faced. Her outlook on life, her intelligence, and her spirit are the foundation of what we aim to create. Our provision is built in her honour; a place where every child is supported to thrive, celebrated for who they are, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
